We are always excited to meet new patients! During your initial consultation at Greenland Advanced Oral Care, Dr. Greenland will discuss your motivation and goals for seeking comprehensive dental treatment after in depth examination and findings review.
When you come in for your initial visit, please be sure to bring your dental and medical insurance card and arrive early to fill out your initial paperwork if you have not already done so on-line. Please bring a list of any medications you are taking. Our team will review any x-rays and any included notes provided by your health and dental care providers. We may ask to capture images of your teeth and the surrounding tissues using cameras and x-rays to help determine what treatment is indicated only when necessary. We will then present your diagnosis and recommend treatment options, working to develop a plan that best fits your individual needs to establish and maintain a healthy oral environment. We will discuss diagnosis, treatment options, sedation options and timelines, as well as costs and payment options for any proposed treatments.
Once your treatment plan and financial arrangements have been determined, we will schedule the first series of appointments to begin comprehensive interdisciplinary treatment and will provide you with an estimated timeline for future visits. Your initial consultation appointment generally takes about an 1 hour and will include in depth dialog between you and Dr. Greenland. At GAOC we focus and emphasize the importance of patient education before, during and after care delivery to promote best possible outcomes giving our patients the tools and education necessary. Please speak with Dr. Greenland or our Nurse Coordinator about any concerns you have regarding your care. Reminders regarding your first visit:
- Bring your dental and medical insurance card to your appointment
- If you need antibiotics prior to dental work, please take them as prescribed. If you are not sure if you need antibiotics, please contact your doctor prior to your visit.
- Present any written referral or x-rays that your dentist may have provided
- Patients under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
- Inform our office if you have a medical condition such as diabetes, high blood pressure, rheumatic fever, artificial joints or heart valves, etc…
